General comments on the service specifications
All positions include each the complete performance with all extra works. For the services offered, the contractor assumes the obligation of completeness. If the provider recognizes that services are not covered exhaustively, he has to notify in written form. Objections to the execution are to be announced with the submission of the tender.
Equivalence of products:
The products of the company AKEMI, stated in the service specifications are a quality example and create a standard calculation basis. They become part of the offer with submission of the tender. The provider has the opportunity to offer at least an equivalent product, showing the equivalence of the offered materials in all respects, approved by official test certificates. They have to be attached as enclosure to the service specification. The equivalence is determined by the client or its legal representative. Compliance with the processing guidelines of the manufacturer is part of the performance. If the Contractor wants to deviate from those described AKEMI-Products, the respective products which are designated for the realisation have to be stated in the individual positions. If the Contractor does not notify another product or the notified product is not approved as equivalent, the AKEMI product which is specified in the service specifications must be used.
Technical Preliminary:
The recommended AKEMI products are especially developed for the specific requirements of the stone. In this connection it has to be differentiated between acid- and non-acid resistant natural stones. In general granites, gabbros and other kinds of hard stone are acid resistant. However, there are stones that are incorrectly characterised as granites (e.g. Belgian Granite) and other kinds of hard stone, which are non-acid resistant (e.g. Basalts, Foid stones etc.). These stones must not be treated with acidic products. Therefore it is absolutely necessary to prepare a suitable sample area with all products or to test the product on an inconspicuous place of its effectiveness, thinning and coverage. For questions please contact the AKEMI application engineering department.
Individual care instructions for all common natural stones are also available on our Natural Stone Care database on the website www.akemi.de. The requirements for labelling and ingredients comply with legal requirements.
Please also pay attention to the labels and application instructions, as well as the more detailed information in the Technical Instruction Sheets. www.akemi.de
