Fundamental differences between the AKEMI products based on polyester and those based on epoxy
The AKEMI® adhesives and fillers on the basis of polyester resin are being presented in the Marble Filler 1000 product range. These two-component systems are characterized by being easy to use, short hardening time and excellent mechanical properties. After complete hardening, these products can behighly polished. By adding the adequate AKEMI®Colouring Paste for polyester almost any colouring can be achieved.
The AKEMI® product range also includes one-component UV-Fillers as well as three-component AKS System Fillers for the industrial processing. UV-fillers are used to fill small pores and holes on the grinding and polishing line. They harden under special ultra violet light sources within minutes and can afterwards be ground and polished. The AKS System Fillers are ideal for industrial use on account of the high filling volume and the short hardening time.
AKEPOX adhesives on the basis of epoxy
AKEPOX adhesives on the basis of epoxy were especially designed for outdoor use. The adhesives only shrink to a very small degree during the chemical reaction. They are absolutely weather resistant and free of solvents. AKEPOX® adhesives are characterized by excellent chemical and mechanical properties which allow a large number of different materials such as stone, wood, glass, metal and plastic to be glued together. By means of using the appropriate AKEMI® Colouring Paste for AKEPOX®, almost any shade of colour can be achieved here, too.
